The American Museum of the Moving Image is dedicated to telling the story of the onset of television and film, while examining the dramatic impact they've made on our culture. The collection at the museum features, amongst others, rare silent-film reels that represent every stage of the production of film. The museum is located just north of Geo F. Tornsey Playground in the Queens Borough.
Open Wed. - Thurs., 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Fri., 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.; Sat. - Sun., 11:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Adults $10; Seniors and College Students with I.D. $7.50; Children 5-18 $5; Children under 5 are free.
